Through education, I empower women entrepreneurs to launch and grow their businesses to generate wealth, while giving back to their communities.
My Story
_____
Hi, I’m Kristin
And most people know me as:
Educator
An Assistant Professor at Concordia University Texas teaching undergraduate and graduate students as well as leading the university’s incubator for entrepreneurs.
Life-long Learner
A doctoral candidate at the University of Texas at Austin in the Executive Doctor of Education program in Higher Education Leadership.
After earning my Bachelor of Arts at Duke University and Master of Business Administration at the University of Texas at Austin, I went “back to school” at UT-Austin during the pandemic to research best practices for increasing women student participation in business plan and pitch contests.
Entrepreneur
Prior to transitioning to higher education, I enjoyed a career in international banking and real estate. After becoming a Vice President and Credit Officer at Citigroup, New York, I built my real estate development company from a startup into a multi-million-dollar business.
Now, I blend my financial expertise and project management skills for emerging businesses, leveraging my banking and entrepreneurship background.
Investor
An active real estate and startup investor, I am a former board member of the Central Texas Angel Network (CTAN).
Startup Judge
Always on the lookout for aspiring entrepreneurs, I regularly judge startup and pitch contests including SXSW Pitch, Rice Business Plan Competition, University of Texas at Austin Disrupt Texas, Mass Challenge, and Vandegrift High School INCubatoredu.
Speaker and Advocate for Women
With a keen interest in educational and humanitarian causes, I speak about topics that enable female and minority entrepreneurs to achieve success.
